Frequently Asked Questions

We never store your password.

Its really not that complicated. During account creation, we generate a mathematical hash of your password and save it with your account details. We do this using a trusted, industry-standard hashing algorith. The best part for us is the hash can never be reversed. We recalculate the mathematical hash, using the password you provide during sign-in. If it recalculated hash for the password provided matches the password hash for the email address provided, youre signed in. Safe and secure.

We use cookies for session functionality.

We are using trusted, industry-standard cookie management techniques and tools based on the NextJS Header cookies library. We use a combination of signed and encrypted cookies. For the basic stuff, like remembering your email address for future sign-ins, we use a signed token. The more secure stuff, your session token, we use a signed and encrypted cookie. Incoming cookies must pass the cookie signature verification process and successfully decrypt before the values can be accessed. This gives us a high-level of confidence in our session management. If that didnt convince you to accept the cookie policy, I should add that the site wont work otherwise. My sincere apologies if that impacts you negatively.

Link your single sign-on accounts later

Once your account is created, you have the option to link single sign-on accounts to your new credentials account.

This is actually our recommended approach since it provides an easy recover option if your single sign-on email ever needs to be changed.

You can also add credentials to any email addresses reserved by the single sign-on email addresses associated with your account.

Link as many as you need. Our only requirements are that (a) the email address is available in our system, (b) the email address must be verified, and (c) the email address must be visible during account creation.

Go crazy.
